Jesus gave His disciples only one specific prayer, and it
is commonly called the Lords Prayer. In reality, it should be called the
"Disciples Prayer." This prayer is found in Matthew 6:913 where
Jesus speaks these words: "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which
art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is
in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
This is a wonderful prayer indeed, and it is probably one of the most popular prayers
in Christendom today. Yet, we realize that as common as this prayer may be, many young
people and adults alike do not know how to pray.
Steps to Faith Bible Study is a basic three week introductory course on how to
pray. Taken from the gospel of John, this study has been created for Jr. Hi. through Young
